{ surprise }

I got a big "surprise" last week when looking for the boys early one morning. After I heard their snickers, I quickly grabbed my camera and captured this fun pic when they jumped out to surprise me. The box provided lots of entertainment through the day...they ate breakfast in it, they made a big fort around it and called it their army fox hole and they took turns surprising each other. The fun ended when I caught them using the big scissors trying to cut spy holes in the box.

The boys have been obsessed with this fun book lately, by the ever so funny Jimmy Fallon, so of course, the first thing that they wanted to do this morning was go and throw some snowballs of their own.

This smile wasn't for the camera. It is T's devilish smile knowing that he has a great opportunity to hit his mama right square with a snowball.

CJ loved the eating the snow declaring that it "tastes like sugar". The boy always has sweets on his mind!

The boys love opening up our dress-up trunk and getting dressed in all of their superhero attire. I just love watching them running around the house, battling the bad guys and saving the day!

Even though J didn't end up winning, T & CJ were pretty pleased that their driver Ron, sponsored by T&CJ Racing, was the winner of this year's inaugural neighborhood race.

{ pirate party }

This summer has completely flown by, leaving me little time to post, but still I have kept up with capturing pics of all of our summer fun.  Early in June, our neighborhood had their Annual Block Party and this year's theme was Pirates.  We all had a blast dressing up in our best pirate attire, decorating every inch of our house/cul-de-sac with lots of pirate memorabilia, hanging out with the friends/family/neighbors and shaking our booties late into the night.

J went on a short little walk with W around 10:00 tonight and came home with this...a huge, slimy bullfrog.  The boys are sound asleep, so what did we decide to do???  Keep the lil' fellow in our bathroom until tomorrow morning when the boys will be greeted with a big surprise. Yes, we are crazy!  

Update:  The boys were super excited when they woke up this morning.  T yelled "There is a big frog in our house...yoo!hoo!" and C squealed and danced all around.  So cute! 

Open Wide

T had an awesome "first trip" 

to the dentist...

he played video games in the waiting room, watched Dora Explorer on TV while getting his teeth cleaned, got to pick out a new toy, stickers & toothbrush kit and, most importantly, got a "perfect" report by the dentist, Dr. Berry .  

T brought along his loyal companions, Georgie & Cubby Bear, for encouragement.

T was a little weary at first, but after we got the TV positioned in a good spot, he was good to go.  He loved wearing the cool zebra sunglasses.

T quickly got the hang of it by the time Dr. Berry arrived.  (Notice his typical lounging position - legs crossed...he did have his arms in back of his arms watching TV, but Dr. Berry made him put his hands down.)  T has all of his baby teeth but his 2-year molars still haven't come in.

Dr. Berry presented him with a special certificate & picture at the end along with some fun treats.

First Snow

J is always eager to go out and build a 

snowman 

whenever there is snow on the ground, so he was really excited when the first snow appeared this weekend.  

J & T bundled up and made a little snowman creation that looked perfect with all of our outdoor Christmas lights & luminaries.  I must say that my hubby is the best snowman maker ever!!

  

He didn't last but a day, but I am sure he won't be the last one this winter season.

Who needs toys when you can have barrels of fun with a simple box?  T had a blast playing & pretending in the Christmas tree box while we put up the Christmas tree.

Sick Days

This has been the scene here at the B household for nearly two weeks.  All of us have been under the weather...even W the dog.

  

The tides have finally turned this morning and we are all feeling energized and better than we have for a while...minus a few sniffles and coughs.  As T declared this morning, "It's a Sunny Day".  I am hoping sunny days continue.
