After the water park, we made a very quick stop to one of the beaches along Jeykll Island to give the boys their first "beach" experience. Jekyll Island is a quaint, government-owned island/national park that remains 65% uninhabited. The island is host to hundreds of sea turtles that visit the area from May-July. Instead of pedestrian crossing signs they have "terrapin crossing" signs posted throughout the 10-mile island.

where are all the people? Did you have the whole beach to yourself? Wilson says "Woof Woof".
There were some people on the beach, but not that many. We almost had the entire beach to ourselves. This is definitely the time to travel as it hasn't been crowded at all.
